My wife xx

From my next, next book called "Not For Love Of Money"

I love her!

reviews should be a joy to write, too

Part of a letter I wrote to a reader..
I hope we have not reached a point where every person who reads a book has to write a review on it. xx

This review is from: Kill Daddy (Life) (Kindle Edition)
Gerald Freeman has been running from an abusive childhood for most of his adult life. He's finally at a point where he's realized that self-medicating with assorted drugs and pushing away well-meaning friends has gotten him nowhere. It's time for a change. He toys with the idea of killing his father in an attempt to quell his inner demons, but fortunately, he opts for something more meaningful, legal and only slightly less dangerous: traveling throughout Africa on a journey of self-discovery.

Gerald Freeman is a master storyteller. I found myself immediately hooked and completely immersed in a story that could only be told by someone who lived through it. I was struck by how much I didn't know about Africa. Mr. Freeman has successfully painted a vivid picture of life in some amazing and exotic, yet overwhelmingly poverty-stricken, places like Uganda and Kenya. From start to finish, the reader experiences both the beauty and the danger of traveling the back roads and jungles through the eyes of the author. Through bouts of malaria, flesh-eating parasite attacks, gunfire, attempted robberies and more, we are right there with him. Experiencing the heartwarming stories and the daily trials and tribulations of several of the book's "characters" has a powerful effect on readers. The many challenges encountered by the average African family gives us a greater sense of appreciation for what the rest of us sometimes take for granted.

Kill Daddy is one of those rare books that will stay with you long after you've finished reading the last page. I've heard that the best way to deal with our problems is to help other people with theirs. I got a real sense that the author was able to begin to heal by helping those around him. Gerald Freeman definitely has a philosophical way of looking at the world, without ever sounding hokey or preachy. I'm happy that Gerald Freeman chose to travel through Africa in favor of committing murder! I'm now looking forward to his next book!

Excerpt from Kill daddy.

I’d set down next to the old wreck, the ganga boat, it was the same thing as ganga corner, but in a rotten wooden carcass of a ship instead of under a Baobab tree. It provided the best shade on the beach and was certainly inspirational when lying on the beach and dreaming about faraway places, such as the one I was in.

Thought.

I truly believe that the search should not be for release from the past, but for the seed of the future x

Never alone.

I appear to have been alone my whole life but very early on God and I started our conversation and have been chatting ever since x

Good evening,
I wrote 3 books 6 years ago when I was diagnosed with Hep C. To cure myself I had to spend 1 year in a bubble..injecting myself once a week and dropping pills, 3 times a day in quantity: always in a fuzz. I actually got down to writing them because i was too much of a mess to do my sculpture..no way I could go out in the garden and drill stone..and it rained a lot that year, so I was stuck indoors and decided to write the books I had never had time to write...I have been writing since forever..when I was young and partying I would come home and describe my trips..I still have the book..will put one out there later...When my girlfriend and I left England..we were 20..we started writing journals but only ever wrote in them when we were fed up..if we were having fun a journal was the last thing on our minds.
My concept is simple: I write about life. I want to talk about real things and connect with people all over the planet about what we have experienced. I would like to have read the books I write myself a few years ago.
