The problem is that we are too afraid to let go x

I know it is scary, but letting go will liberate us and make our worlds so much bigger and better- realise we have been indoctrinated and fight back for your spiritual freedom x

Why this story should be told.

The main reason I Don’t Believe God Wrote the Bible was written is to inspire people to follow their dreams and not be bullied into a life they may regret forever. I am not the only teenager who didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do with my future when the time came for me to definitively choose who to be for the rest of my life.

At fifteen, society and family were already demanding I know. It caused me such angst and created such conflict within the family because Gerald couldn’t make up his mind that I decided to literally flee society in order to get some peace and quiet and time to think on my own.

It was the best decision I have ever made, once I’d set forth into the big unknown, I realized the minuteness of the place I’d been living in my whole life and the restrictiveness of the ideals, which I’d been surrounded and indoctrinated with while growing up. Just the simple experience of hearing another point of view widened my vision of the world. And gave me hope.

I started off living with the hippies and punks in the streets learning about spirituality and alternative lifestyles to one they tell us to lead. Admittedly, I got myself in a pickle with drugs, but that was only because I was recovering from an abusive childhood and keeping the intrusive memories at bay proved difficult.

Eventually, after yet another near fatal drug overdose I decided enough was enough and I resolved to go even further afield in my quest for a life I believed was out there, but I hadn't yet found. A girlfriend and I went to France and this is where the book begins.

In only a few weeks of being there, hitching around free as a bird and far from the memories of my childhood my mind-set completely changed. I went from having too many years in my life with absolutely no way of filling them, to realizing there could never be enough years in a lifetime to do all the things I wanted to do. Not to mention, all the things I knew I hadn’t yet discovered but knew I would want to do as well.

It was this journey, which saved my life and has meant that today at the age of forty-eight, I look back on my life with pride and satisfaction for following my heart, and not with regret for unfulfilled dreams. What is more, I still have more projects and wishes than I will never be able to achieve in this lifetime and I believe this is a healthy and productive way to live, which benefits not only me but others around me.

In short, young people should be given the time to find out who they are, and not pressured into a life that could potentially prevent them from achieving their full potential and stunt their contribution to the world. This is happening all too often and it is the human race that is losing out. Happiness and contentment breed positivity and creativity, settling for anything less is detrimental to society as a whole. Go on, go out and Get A Life!

Example of professionally written PRESS RELEASE- I Don't Believe God Wrote The Bible

One of the final legs of the journey in publishing a book is the press release and this is the one designed and written by
It has been accepted in multiple free and paid websites and is a good example of how this should be done.
One of the biggest things I learnt sending out my first press release was that I needed to have a company email address. What is that? I hear many of you say. How do I get one of those, if I'm not really an official business? I said to myself. I thought I'd come to another dead end, but then after looking around my website I saw the possibility of creating an email for that website, which I had no idea of before. It was simple and I was then allowed to send my press release wherever I wanted. It is a small deatil and one that many will know about already, but for those like me it was new and something I knew nothing about.
Hopefully reading this will save some of you time and unnecessary stress and worry-go get that business email- respected companies will only allow you to submit with one of these to avoid fake and spam submissions.

Travel Memoir: A Spiritual Hitchhike through France
Lisbon, Portugal, February 14th, 2015 – Emerging artist and author Gerald Freeman has traveled the world to find peace within. Those experiences now appear in his Get a Life memoir series. The latest release, I Don’t Believe God Wrote the Bible, finds his younger self on a quest for spiritual enlightenment in France. A vagabond approach to travel makes it possible to discover what matters most in life.
Freeman, a teacher and sculptor, uses his writing to explore how his travels enabled him to make peace with the mental and physical abuse he endured while growing up. The most endearing memoirs not only entertain the reader with adventures, but offer insights on how to live. A print and e-book version is now available via Amazon.
Readers of Freeman’s writing will connect with his directness. On the matter of truth in writing, the author responded, “I believe the very fact that the truth shocks people means there is a dire need for more of it in the world. By sharing our experiences on this planet Earth, we make each other stronger.”
While wanderlust drives Freeman’s series, the deeper implications of his memoirs shed light on the internal struggle everyone faces in forging an identity. Some of us just need to go to greater travel extremes than others on the path to self-discovery.
Gerald Freeman follows his heart all over the planet so he can identify with people and share those experiences and emotions with readers. He also expresses himself through art, principally sculpture and has been selected as a “best pick” in an International Emerging Artist Award.
He is available for media interviews and can be reached via email at More information can be found at his author website:

One of the good things that comes with age x

Hello everyone,

It is so good to be back after my keyboard was either hacked or just broke. It has been writing of its own accord, trying to delete all my files and generally trying to confuse and upset me. It was even a bit scary, it felt like someone was in my house with me and so I had to go offline for a couple of weeks. If it is a hacker, it just proves what cowards they are some of them. I believe we should stand up for our actions and not hide.

Imagine after a year of writing and preparing my new book, I am waiting for my editor and my formatter and my book cover designer to send me the finished product, then get onto press release and download to Kindle and Createspace, in  order to publish the book by a certain date and then this happens.

The cool manner in which I handled it surprised even myself. We can only do our best and we cannot control what happens in Life. So I remained calm and finally things have come together. I will soon have a publication date and I hope I am going to rock somebody's world with my journey of inspiration and my message to follow your dreams and live the Life you truly desire. One single person inspired by my book is enough, although hopefully more, then we can really make a change and who knows how far it will reach?
